The left speaks out.

While much of what is being said from the left regarding Sarah Palin is redundant, I have listed on this page a selection of statements which summarize the hysterical attacks (IMHO) that are being presented.

The glass ceiling is hard and durable for moms trying to make it up the career ladder. We haven’t “got what it takes,” we are told because our children are generally considered our albatrosses. And there is no recourse, the Bush administration has eviscerated the EEOC [Equal Employment Opportunity Commission], making it one of the most over-taxed and inefficient of government agencies. Our choice to govern our own bodies is under threat. The environment is crashing. Our children could inherit a planet that is so unhealthy, it might ultimately kill them. And most infuriating of all, the Republicans offer us a shamefully unprepared Sarah Palin, who stands but a heartbeat away. I am deeply fearful of what may come should they win.

- Beth Py-Lieberman, Maryland

Any person, male or female, who presumes to limit a woman´s right over her own welfare and her own body, or who denies the rights of animals to live in a protected environment, has no place in a government position.

- Anne Mozdzanowski, Germany

I am insulted by her lack of knowledge, her lack of insight, her lack of judgement, and her lack of manners.

- D Korman, Michigan

She is not only anti-choice, but anti-environment.

- Janis Tomlinson, Delaware

This is an outrage and the worst possible message to send to my daughter.

- Elise Forrest, Maryland

She is a compleate joke! What does she want? To raise the over-population rates, abortion rates, HIV,AIDS,STD rates, teenage pregnancy rates,

She is an ignorant bully who’s [sic] beliefs belong in the nineteenth century and she deserves all the ridicule we have to offer.

- Shad Carson, Washington

As a woman, I completely disagree with the majority of Sarah Palin’s views. I am pro-choice, I don’t believe that Creationism should be taught in schools. I am frightened and appalled.

- Jama Watts, Kentucky

Sarah Palin is against everything that I believe in. She is anti-woman, anti-environment, and anti-life.
- Mary Coral, Kansas

She’s a serial liar, scarily ambitious, and without qualifications to be vice-president, much less president of this country of ours. And you, sir, have turned into a reprehensible politician.

- Carol DeProsse, Iowa

Sarah Palin is against everything I believe in and everything women and our allies have fought against. This choice is a gimmick. Don’t fall for it!

- Cheryl Young, Ohio

I heartily object to such outspoken religious rhetoric in the White House, an expansion on problems already present under George W. Bush - one reason I’ve been living abroad for most of the last 6 years. With his selection of the inexperienced, evangelical, extremely conservative, anti-women’s rights Sarah Palin, McCain has renounced any hope of a middle way that could attain the support of moderate Americans.

- Emily Petermann, Massachusetts

She represents everything i am opposed to. I am insulted that the republicans would think that i would vote for her just because she is a woman. I am a Hillary supporter but would never vote for Palin or McCain. Get out the coat hangers girls. We’re gonna need them.

Dear Senator McCain: I do not presume to tell you who you should or should not pick as your running mate. But, I will say that the choice you have made only demonstrates your cynicism and contempt for the earth, our dear plants, animails [sic] and all it’s [sic] other inhabitants, humanity, and women in particular.

I personally oppose Sarah Palin as a potential VP, because she stands for everything I disagree with.

- Lia Robb, Kansas

I have no interest in reading your book. My mind is made up. I hate Sarah Palin and all she stands for.

- Sarah Cook, Missouri
